Updating the PDXpert client
Once the PDXpert client application has been installed, all further software updates can be distributed and installed using the PDXpert Application Server remote update service. Or, you can install the PDXpert client application from your local computer, using the most current client installer which is available on the PDXpert website.
For the most current and complete information on updating, uninstalling or re-installing the PDXpert client, please refer to the PDXpert Installation Guide on the PDXpert website.
-
If your computer is on the same local area network as the PDXpert server computer:
-
After your system administrator updates the PDXpert Application Server, start the PDXpert client application that's currently installed on your computer.
-
If the PDXpert Application Server determines that client software is out of date, you will be asked whether a new client installer should be downloaded from the PDXpert Application Server and installed. Accept the download, and then wait while the software is transferred and the setup program is launched.
-
Follow any instructions provided by the installer software.
-
When the installation process has finished, log into the updated PDXpert client software using your usual account name and password.
-
-
If your computer uses a remote network connection or virtual private network (VPN):
-
Download the PDXpert client application from the PDXpert website (or obtain a copy from your system administrator).
-
Run the installer, and follow the instructions.
-
When the installation process has finished, start the updated PDXpert client software.
-
We recommend that you periodically visit the Microsoft update website to obtain the most recent patches and service packs for Windows and the .NET framework.
