Languages
Purpose
Permits identifying the language in which an item is written, in accordance with ISO 639 standard.
This is information about the item (principally documents, product labels and packaging), and does not affect any language attributes or capabilities within PDXpert.

Data fields
- Name
- This is the complete name for the language.
- ISO 639 short code
- The two-character ISO code was devised primarily for use in terminology and includes identifiers for most of the major languages of the world. Most technology standards bodies (such as W3.org) use this code.
- Terminology (abbreviation)
- This should be one of the values specified for ISO three character codes, and is required by PDXpert.
- Bibliography code
- This is an alternative ISO three character code.
