Logging into PDXpert
Your security account determines your permissions to system functions and database records within the context of a PDXpert database (server). Your account has two elements: a user account name and a password.
If no user accounts have been set up, use Admin as the account name and a blank password .
-
From the Windows Start menu, select the PDXpert program folder, and then the PDXpert PLM item. (Or, double-click the PDXpert PLM desktop icon.)
-
When the Welcome to PDXpert PLM dialog appears, enter your account name.
-
Enter your account password.
The password is case-sensitive, so enter the password exactly as it was originally created.
-
You may use log-in options:
- Select a different application server by entering it into the Server computer's machine name control. If the PDXpert Application Server is installed on your local workstation, you can enter the value localhost.
- Mark the Reset my account settings checkbox to delete your personal settings such as window locations, personal preferences and previously-opened items list. For example, if the Item Explorer window is "lost" (undocked & off screen) after you've moved from a PC with a large screen or multiple monitors to a smaller display, resetting your account settings will return the Item Explorer to its default location.
-
Click the OK button.
