Managing collection properties

Collection properties affect all collection members. In some collections (such as the Document Types, Part Types and Change Forms collections), the properties provide default values that will be applied to new members of the collection.

1. View the collection properties, which affect all members of the collection, by double-clicking the collection name (for example, Persons, Access Rights, Part Types) or by right-clicking the collection name and selection Properties... from the context menu.

2. You may be permitted to change certain properties of a collection. To modify a collections properties, select Edit | Unlock Object (or press the F2 key, or select the Unlock icon in the status bar at the lower left corner of the window).

   

3. Save your changes by locking (Edit | Lock Object or F2) the window. You can also simply close the window, which saves your changes automatically.
