Sometimes there's already a part record similar to one that you need to create. It's simple to "take a snapshot" of the source part and then edit the snapshot to reflect your new requirements.
Search for the part that you want to copy using the Item Explorer.
Select the part and open it so that it is the active (front-most) part window in your item workspace.
If you don't want to copy the current record revision, select the appropriate record revision.
When the new part window opens, fill out the necessary information as outlined in "Filling in the new part".
