How to purchase, renew or upgrade your PDXpert license

First-time buyers of a new PDXpert license

At your request, we can configure mixed perpetual/subscription licenses as well as provide short-term licenses. For subscription licenses of 3 months or less, please contact us prior to making your purchase.

US and Canada

We accept your (1) company check in US funds, or (2) company purchase order. For most customers, we are pleased to offer payment terms of NET 30 DAYS without a credit check. Upon receipt of your PO, we provide a temporary license that's valid for 35 days, and will email your license key immediately upon bank receipt of funds.

Other countries

You may send us a wire transfer, or a check issued by any international bank with US offices. All amounts must be denominated in US dollars. All wire transfers are subject to an additional 2% bank transfer service fee. If you wish to make a wire transfer, please contact us for correspondent bank information.

Providing your purchase order

You may place your purchase order via email, fax, postal mail service, or telephone. We recommend always sending an email, even when sending your order via other means, so that we may return an acknowledgement as quickly as possible.

Ensure that the purchase information includes your company's name, address, postal (zip) code, and country, as well as your email and telephone.

If you are a purchasing or financing service handling the transaction on behalf of another company, you must indicate the full contact details of your principal. Our software license requires acceptance by the company that actually installs and uses the product; we will not issue a license in the name of an intermediary or broker.

Calculating the cost of a subscription license

Here's how we calculate your subscription license cost and expiration: (a) We determine your discounted price based on the number of users and the commitment period. (b) We then take the monthly rate, multiply it by the number of months you've selected, and (c) multiply the result by the number of users you've selected. (d)  For the full year, we increment the start date's year. For fractions of a year, we increment the start date's month.

For example, suppose that you choose to start a subscription for 6 users on April 10 and you want the subscription to run 8 months. We calculate the total cost (a) using the monthly price per user from the 6 month/5 user cell, (b) multiply this cost per user by the 8 month commitment period, and then (c) multiply this result by the 6 users. (d) Your expiration period is 8 months after April 10th, which is December 10th.

All subscriptions are paid in full at the beginning of the subscription period. Additional licenses are discounted based on your total minimum user commitment, which includes all of your currently-active licenses.

An established subscription cannot be reduced prior to its expiration, and the subscription fees are not refundable. However, you can renew a subscription at its expiration for a shorter period or for fewer users. You can also purchase a replacement perpetual license at the end of the subscription period. You can take advantage of additional discounts by adding users and/or extending the subscription period while the subscription is active.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

Calculating the cost of a perpetual license and MSU

Here's how we calculate your perpetual license price and annual maintenance, support and upgrade (MSU): (a) We determine your discounted perpetual price based on the number of users you've chosen, and (b) if you've opted for MSU, add the MSU rate for that minimum commitment. We then (c) multiply the result by the number of users you've selected. (d) For the MSU expiration date, we simply increment the start date's year.

For example, suppose that you purchase a perpetual license for 6 users on April 10 and you choose to include annual maintenance, support and upgrades. We calculate the total cost (a) using the one-time price per user from the 5 user cell, (b) add the annual MSU cost per user, also from the 5-user cell, and then (c) multiply this result by the 6 users. (d) Your MSU expiration date is April 10th next year.

Perpetual license upgrade discounts

If your MSU service plan has expired or you never subscribed to MSU, you may still be able to upgrade your users to the current release at a discounted price. Your current perpetual license registration displays an "Expiration date" that determines the discount that can be applied to our current published price. The license's "Maximum users" specifies the number of user accounts that can be upgraded at that discount level.

Time after license "Expiration date": within 1 year 1 to 2 years 2 to 3 years >3 years
Reduce perpetual license per-user price by 70% 45% 20% 0%

At the time you purchase an upgrade, you can also purchase a new subscription at the published price to keep your software maintained, supported and upgraded for an entire year.

Increasing your licensed user accounts

Perpetual licenses without a current MSU subscription can be increased, provided that the new licenses are also purchased without MSU. Additional licenses are discounted based on your total minimum user commitment, which includes all previous licenses purchased.

If you wish to include MSU for your new licenses, your current license MSU must be current (or brought current). When you purchase MSU, we will generally offer you the choice of prorating your new licenses' MSU expiration date to the previous licenses' expiration, or synchronizing all licenses to expire one year from your new purchase.

Renewing your PDXpert perpetual MSU or subscription license

Renewal prices are based upon your current "Maximum Users", multiplied by the currently-published perpetual license's maintenance, support and upgrade (MSU) or subscription license.

Your software license information includes an expiration date. Prior to the specified expiration date:

  • Perpetual licenses: Your annual maintenance, support and upgrade (MSU) may be renewed based upon the the "Maximum Users" specified in the PDXpert Software License Key window. If you choose not to renew your MSU, your will still have continued access to the PDXpert system, but you will no longer be able to update your software to the most current release.
  • Subscription licenses: For continued access to the PDXpert system, your annual subscription must be renewed based upon the the "Maximum Users" specified in the PDXpert Software License Key window. If you choose not to renew your subscription, please let us know if your require assistance in extracting your data from the PDXpert system prior to the license expiration date.
